🌕🌲 **Operation: Catch the Lunar Eclipse — PNW Edition** 🌲🌕
In a valiant attempt to witness tonight’s lunar eclipse, we have officially determined that **Mother Nature remains undefeated.** 😂
We’re out camping in the great Pacific Northwest, tucked nicely into a valley—which, as it turns out, is an excellent place to camp and a **terrible place to watch an eclipse.** 🤦♂️🌲
A lunar eclipse occurs when **Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, causing Earth’s shadow to fall across the Moon.** Depending on where you are, you can see the Moon gradually darken and sometimes take on that famous reddish “blood moon” appearance as sunlight passes through Earth’s atmosphere.
Unfortunately, our combination of **valley + terrain + clouds + questionable planning** meant we missed a good portion of the show. 😆
But here’s the funny part: the clouds that usually seem determined to ruin every outdoor adventure in the PNW actually **cooperated for once**, giving us a glimpse of something we normally miss because of—you guessed it—clouds! ☁️😂
So, did we successfully photograph the eclipse?
**No.**
Did we learn something?
**Absolutely.**
Did we enjoy camping under the Pacific Northwest sky anyway?
**You bet!** 🏕️🌲🌌
We’ll try to do better next time. Maybe we’ll even find a location where the Moon is actually visible. 😜

In 1985 a movie came out... great movie.
The Goonies is a 1985 American adventure comedy film directed by Richard Donner from a screenplay by Chris Columbus based on a story by Steven Spielberg. The film stars Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Corey Feldman, Kerri Green, Martha Plimpton and Ke Huy Quan with John Matuszak, Robert Davi, Joe Pantoliano and Anne Ramsey in supporting roles. In the film, a group of children who live in the "Goon Docks" neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon attempt to save their homes from foreclosure. In doing so, they discover an old treasure map which takes them on an adventure to unearth the long-lost fortune of One-Eyed W***y, a legendary 17th-century pirate, while being pursued by a family of criminals who are after the treasure as well.

Looking at improving sleep at home. Here is some research:
The Classic Memory Foam Pillow
The Shape: A clean, flat rectangle. Looks just like a traditional feather pillow, but stuffed with high-density foam or shredded memory foam.
How It Works: Conforms around your head using your body heat and weight. It offers a plush "sinking" feeling while keeping a uniform thickness throughout.
Best For: Casual sleepers, pillow fidgeters, and anyone who flips from back to side throughout the night without wanting a rigid setup.
The Cervical / Ergonomic Neck Relief Pillow
The Shape: Anything but a standard rectangle. These feature a distinctive "wave" or "contour" profile—complete with a raised neck roll, a center dip for your head, and side cutouts for shoulder relief.
How It Works: Rather than letting your head sink flat, it fills the natural gap beneath your neck. This cradles the cervical spine to keep your head, neck, and spine aligned in a neutral position all night.
Best For: Waking up with morning stiffness, back sleepers needing neck arch support, or side sleepers trying to keep their spine straight.
