π³ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Meet Ben!
As our Pro Shop Manager and YouTube creator, Ben has been helping bowlers improve their game for the past 10 years. He's been bowling since he was just 5 years old, has a 300 game and an 845 series to his name, and his passion for the sport started with one person: his dad.
One of Ben's favorite parts of working in the Pro Shop is helping bowlers find the perfect fit for their equipment and fostering a lifelong love of the game.
His advice for anyone looking to improve?
"You can't out-bowl poor balance."
He also believes one of the most overlooked pieces of equipment is a good pair of bowling shoes and reminds bowlers that success doesn't have an expiration date.
If Ben could bowl with any professional bowlers, his dream lineup would be:
π³ Pete Weber
π³ Mark Roth
π³ Norm Duke
π³ Mike Aulby
π³ Parker Bohn III
Outside of bowling, Ben has been playing the piano since he was six years old. And when he's at West Seattle Bowl, you'll often find him enjoying sunomono and spam fried rice or sharing a favorite drink with friends.
β€οΈ What does Ben love most about the West Seattle Bowl community?
"We're family first, bowlers second."
Stop by the Pro Shop and say hello to Ben next time you're at the lanes!

π³ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Meet Phil!
If you've stopped by the WSB Pro Shop, chances are you've met Phil! From resurfacing bowling balls and repairing equipment to learning the art of drilling, Phil is passionate about helping bowlers get the most out of their game.
π³ Bowling for: 35 years (including 26 years of league and competitive bowling)
π High Game: 300
π₯ High Series: 823
Phil's favorite part of working in the Pro Shop is helping new bowlers have a great first experience. His biggest piece of advice?
"Practice with purpose."
He also reminds bowlers not to overlook equipment maintenance. Finger grips and thumb tape wear out faster than many people realize, and keeping your gear in top shape can make a big difference.
One of Phil's proudest bowling memories was shooting 30 clean while also bowling his first 300 game and first 800 series in the same set.
πΊ When he's taking a break, you'll usually find him enjoying an Athletic Golden Ale.
Be sure to say hello to Phil next time you're in the Pro Shop!

NEW VIDEO! After the wide success of the first Vengeance, it's no surprise a sequel would be on the way. And this one is really, really good. Introducing the Vengeance Returns, from 900 Global. Wrapped in a polished hybrid cover, this one gives you strength, length, and a controllable down-lane shape. It's the perfect recipe for lots and lots of strikes. But where does it fit in the bag?
