Unfortunately, my birth story became the most traumatic experience of my life.

Nothing went the way I hoped or planned. But I’m here. My baby is here. We’re alive. And I couldn’t be more grateful.

I’m thankful for the strength I found in moments when I didn’t know how I could possibly keep going. Thankful for my body. Thankful for my baby. Thankful that I get to live another day and experience this new life with him.

My birth story isn’t the story I wanted, but it is the story I survived.
