Glass, carbon, kevlar, plastic, wood, canvas… what layup are you paddling, and why did you choose it?
There are plenty of reasons to choose one construction over another. Cost might be the deciding factor, while for others it could be weight and getting the boat onto the roof of the car. Maybe you’re into rockhopping and want something that can take a beating, or you went for wood because you built the boat yourself!
