The Weather Forecast:
The interwebs provide ready access to many forecasts, all of which on this fair evening are showing some combination of clouds and showers during our race (wouldn't you know it). Especially on Friday.

So, with my RD hat firmly on, here is the word: Relax. We'll get our laps in. We will gather on Friday for practice. No need to rush in the morning, as that is when the aggregate of forecasts is concentrating the highest likelihood of showers. That written, we WILL set up for practice on Friday. And I DO think we will get in laps. The rest of the weekend looks ok to me. Might it rain? Yes. Will it dry. Also, yes. Be patient with it. These are the longest days of the year. It is summer in Seattle.

We will stick to our schedule and be outdoor racers who manage conditions as actual conditions on the day unfold.

The Controversial Avalon Body:
This is a Mod racer thing that is causing a bunch of heartburn on the BookFace and elsewhere. What fun! So, there is this new body--the Avalon Vortex--that many find to be an assault on their ocular organs. Others think it looks like progress. Apparently, it's fast. And, contrary to expectations, ROAR just approved it. Our Comp Committee confirms that an approved body on the published ROAR list is legal to race in a ROAR race.

Now. Good luck finding one in stock. Cry about it if you like. That's what your online self is for. Stock racers don't worry about it; it's not for you. The Wolverine is still king.

And that's that.

We've got tires. We've got trophies. Wrench on your stuff. Come Sunday afternoon, we will know who is the best in the Northwest.

ATTENTION RACERS: 5/16 SEATAC RACE CANCELLED

The Seatac weather forecast is bad for racing: showers and thunderstorms followed by thunderstorms and showers.

We will look forward to our next scheduled race on 5/30.
