This month we’re celebrating the next generation of golfers and few places bring that to life like Baylands Golf Links in Palo Alto. 🏌️

First Tee – Silicon Valley began holding its life skills classes here back in 2010, and when the beloved Palo Alto Muni reopened as the beautifully renovated Baylands, they returned right alongside it, using a blend of life skill and golf game curriculum to help kids grow on and off the course.

This past year, nearly 275 students from Las Lomitas Elementary spent two days at Baylands rotating through golf and life-skills stations, and 24 youth from the Police and Sheriffs Activities Leagues stepped onto a golf course for the very first time.

That’s what Family Golf Month is all about, opening the door to the game and watching kids discover what they’re capable of. 💚

Troon Family Golf Month is officially here! While July serves as our big kickoff, the family fun is available 365 days a year at participating Troon-managed facilities worldwide.

We are proud to support First Tee and their mission to empower young people through the game. Across the country, First Tee chapters are hitting Troon courses, giving kids access to both the game and invaluable life skills.

- Juniors play FREE after 3 p.m. (with a paying adult)
- Complimentary Callaway rental clubs for juniors all day
- Free junior instruction during adult lessons

July is Family Golf Month, and this weekend is the perfect excuse to get the whole crew out on the course. See you out there.

The ladies at Sierra View are bursting with pride that two of our members qualified for the U.S. Senior Open this year. Congratulations to Lynne Cowan and Karen Garcia. The qualifier was held at El Macero Country Club in Davis, Ca.

Four players earned their spots to the 2026 U.S. Senior Women's Open. NCGA Hall of Famer Lynne Cowan earned medalist honors with a solid even par round of 72. Reigning Senior Women's Player of the Year Karen Garcia finished in second place at 1 over par. Dana Ebster and Ailam Newkirk finished in a tie for third place at 3-over par.

The 8th United States Senior Women's Open takes place at Barton Hills Country Club in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on August 20-23, 2026.

27 years of leadership, international milestones, and moments with the game's greatest.

To round out Women’s Golf Month, we are honoring Dana Schultz, our Vice President of Operations. Dana has spent nearly three decades building a lifelong career out of the sport she loves, supported every step of the way by her family.

Her impact at Troon spans the globe. Dana's proudest accomplishment was serving as Club Manager and leading the team through the successful opening of our international property in Anguilla, setting the standard for operations from day one.

Her career has also brought some unforgettable, full-circle moments with the legends of the game. As a college freshman, she had the privilege of meeting Ben Hogan at Shady Oaks in Fort Worth, Texas. At the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, John Easterbrook convinced her to ask Arnold Palmer for a picture. He graciously agreed, and she got to sit right in the cart with Arnold Palmer, himself. 📸✨

Golf has a beautiful way of bringing people together from all corners of the world. This Women’s Golf Month, we want to introduce you to three phenomenal international women who are making waves in our community:

Tanya Kurbela – Greenkeeper, PGA National Czech Republic
Years with Troon: 8 years
Proudest Moment: Starting out maintaining bunkers every morning and working her way up to mastering advanced equipment like walk-mowing the greens. She also led the bunker preparation team when her property hosted a DP World Tour event.

Yasmeen Howeidy – Associate Sales & Marketing Manager, Al Mouj Golf (Oman)
Years with Troon: 6 years
Proudest Moment: Working back-to-back DP World Tour events in 2022 and successfully transitioning across properties to continuously adapt, learn, and grow her career within the Troon family.

Isra Ismael – Sales & Experience Manager, Madinaty Golf Club (Egypt)
Joined Troon: December 2024
Proudest Moment: Traveling to Málaga, Spain, last month to represent Madinaty Golf Club and Egypt as a premier golf destination at the international IAGTO European Convention.
