A huge shoutout to Shemesh Day Camp for making a difference during Maccabiah! 💙
Together, our campers collected an incredible 1,200 pounds of food to support those in need. Thank you to all of the families who donated and helped make this possible.
We are so proud of our Shemesh community for showing kindness, generosity, and the true meaning of giving back. 🙌
After school just got more fun at The J! 💙
Baderech (meaning “on the way” in Hebrew) is a brand new experience for 5th & 6th graders where kids get to choose how they spend their afternoons — whether that’s playing basketball, pickleball, hanging out in our Moadon Youth Lounge, or joining weekly programs focused on life skills and Jewish values.
For our younger kiddos, Club J is the perfect after school spot for PreK–4th graders to play, create, and make new friends through activities like Gaga, gym games, art projects, STEM challenges, Shabbat, holiday celebrations, and more!
Whether it's after school, early dismissals or school breaks, The J is here to give kids a place to feel welcomed, have fun, and grow. ✨

Maccabiah brought the energy, the teamwork, and so many unforgettable memories! 💙 From sports, water, and food competitions to nonstop cheering across The J, our campers gave it their all and made every moment count. We loved seeing the Shemesh spirit shine in every color!

For Mark, the J has been more than a place to work out or gather, it is truly a place to grow for him and his family.
Growing up with the J, he has built lasting connections and continues to stay actively involved through pickleball, the Dad Wellness Group, and as a valued community partner through his accounting firm. The J has been there through different stages of his life, and today it remains a place where he can connect, grow, and give back.
As his family grows, so does his connection to the J. He looks forward to being part of the J's future and watching it continue to evolve alongside his family for years to come.

Our Slice Into Summer gathering at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria was a wonderful success! Adults 55+ enjoyed a delicious lunch, lively conversation, and the opportunity to make new connections while staying engaged during the summer heat. It was inspiring to see both familiar faces and new participants come together for an afternoon of friendship and community.
The fun continues on July 1 with our Movie & Discussion Group, offering another opportunity to connect, learn, and engage with others in a welcoming and social environment.
