🌟⚽ PVSC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ⚽🌟

Another weekend in the books, and three more PVSC players stepped up with performances worth celebrating!

⚽ Sentinels S.A. neXus — Bentley Martinez (U12B)

Two goals. Three assists. Five goal contributions.

Bentley was everywhere in a commanding win for neXus. He consistently put himself in dangerous positions, showed tremendous courage taking defenders on 1v1, and made things happen both as a scorer and a creator.

But what stood out most was the energy he brought to the field. Every time Bentley stepped into the match, the entire team seemed to find another gear.

An electric performance from start to finish. Great work, Bentley!

⚽ Raptors — Shane Balch (U14B)

FOUR goals and an assist across two matches!

Shane put together a huge weekend for the Raptors, contributing five goals while making his presence felt throughout both matches.

Even more impressive than the numbers is the mentality behind them. Shane consistently puts his team first and continues to demonstrate the leadership, attitude, and work ethic that coaches love to see — both on and off the field.

Outstanding weekend, Shane!

⚽ Wildcats Black — Maggie Mogg (U12G)

Big saves. One goal conceded. A win secured. And then right back to work.

Competing in ICSL Elite, Maggie came up with multiple important saves for the U12 Girls Wildcats Black, allowing just one goal and helping her team earn the victory.

And her weekend didn’t end when the final whistle blew. After Saturday’s match, Maggie was back out training in the rain on Sunday — on top of the supplemental goalkeeper training she already puts in each week.

That commitment to her craft is exactly what player development looks like.

THIS is what player development looks like.

This past spring, Theo was playing in PVSC’s Youth Intramural program while also participating in our Spring Academy, where he caught the eye of Coach Anthony.

Seeing a player ready for a new challenge, Coach Anthony invited Theo to join the PVSC Sentinels Soccer Academy.

Fast forward a few months…

That’s Theo — now a U10 player — rising up and scoring a HEADER in a U12 travel match.

Youth Intramural ➡️ Spring Academy ➡️ Sentinels Soccer Academy ➡️ competing two years up.

Different programs. New challenges. More opportunities. One club. One player pathway.

And Theo’s journey is just getting started!

🌟⚽ PVSC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ⚽🌟

Another weekend of PVSC soccer is in the books, and it’s time to recognize a few players who made a major impact for their teams!

⚽ Vikings Orange (U9B) — Luca Ciavarella

THREE first-half goals!

Luca came out flying, finding the back of the net three times before halftime. But his impact went well beyond the goals. He showed tremendous leadership, work ethic, and a team-first mentality throughout the entire match.

When asked to switch things up in the second half, Luca never questioned it — he embraced the challenge, rolled with everything his coaches asked of him, and continued working for his teammates.

Outstanding performance, Luca!

⚽ Threshers (U10G) — Cassidy Griffin

Playing their first match in Division 1, the Threshers battled to a 2–2 draw — with Cassidy scoring BOTH goals!

Cassidy continues to establish herself as a leader both on and off the field. She was the most vocal player on the pitch, constantly communicating, organizing, encouraging her teammates, and setting the tone for the group.

Two goals. Division 1 debut. Leadership everywhere.

Great work, Cassidy!

⚽ Raleigh Behler (U10G)

Not every Player of the Week performance shows up on the scoresheet.

Raleigh put together an absolutely dominant defensive performance for the Strikers, including critical goal-line clearances, a high volume of key passes, and consistently excellent decision-making.

Even more impressive was her presence throughout the match: communication, composure, and confidence when her team needed it most.

Defense deserves the spotlight, too — and Raleigh earned it this week!

What a run!

Sentinels S.A. Ascendant capped off an incredible three weeks by claiming their third tournament title in three weeks, going undefeated to be crowned U11 Champions at this weekend’s Philadelphia Union Commodore Cup.

The boys finished the tournament without conceding a single goal in the shadow of Subaru Park, earning their ninth consecutive win along the way.

More importantly, they continue to grow together — competing for one another, building confidence, and developing the connections that make this group so special both on and off the field.

Well done, Sentinels! What a start to the 2026-27 season. 👏

🏆 CHAMPIONS AGAIN! 🏆

What a run for our boys from Sentinels S.A. Ascendant, who were crowned U11 Champions of the 2026 Whitpain Champions Cup!

And this one makes it even more special — that’s TWO tournament titles in the past TWO weeks for these boys, after they claimed the Battle at Hilltop crown last weekend.

That's a special accomplishment for a very special team, and we are all mighty proud of them. Keep it up, Sentinels!
