✅Horse Care Question of the Day: Why do we give horses salt and electrolytes in their feed? 🚨

Horses sweat A LOT 💧and their bodies lose important electrolytes such as 🧂sodium chloride (salt) and potassium. Horses also can be affected by the changing weather which can cause them to drink less water too. ☀️ 🍁 🍃 By giving our horses salt it encourages them to keep hydrated, which helps 💪🏼 muscle, nerve & heart 🫀function, as well as encourages proper sweat 💧 and regulation of their entire body through the seasons! 😁
