PRESS RELEASE~
On-Site Parking for the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival, which takes place the weekend of September 26 and 27, is once again available and may be purchased in advance on-line. It is the only onsite parking available, located within the confines of the Cantine Veterans Memorial Complex.
For the economical price of just $10.00 per vehicle, per day, affords you the opportunity to park within the venue grounds, only a few hundred feet from the Festival entry booth on Small World Avenue. Save the hassle of taking the shuttle buses or walking varying distances from satellite parking lots.
Advanced On-Site Parking is available for purchase but you must make your purchase no later than 12 Noon Friday, September 25, provided space is still available, as there is a limit to the maximum number of vehicles the On-Site Parking Lots can accommodate, therefore, availability is on a first come, first served basis.
There are a number of ways to purchase your advance sale On-Site Parking Pass, as follows.

If you wish to purchase your Garlic Festival Admission Ticket in advance, go to http://hvgf.org/ and then there is an optional link, which brings you directly to the webpage to purchase your online On-Site Parking Pass.

Purchases can additionally be made in-person at the Parks and Buildings Department Office, 33 Pavilion St. in the Cantine Veterans Sports Complex between the hours of 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday, or the Kiwanis Ice Arena Box Office, during regular Ice Arena operating hours, seven days a week.

As in the past, free parking will still be available in the off-site satellite parking lots and shuttle buses will be running between the off-site lots and the festival site. Additionally, there is a walking trail, from Orange Parking Lot (Mike Krout Road) to the festival grounds.

It may not always be the most noticeable part of maintaining a baseball field, but it’s one of the most important!🚜
Today, our dedicated field crew is hard at work aerating the fields to help keep the soil healthy, improve drainage, and promote strong, healthy turf. 🌿
Great fields don’t happen by accident…they’re built and maintained by a great team! 👏

We couldn't be more proud to have been home to the 2026 New York State American Legion Baseball Champions! 🏆⚾ Congratulations to the players, coaches, families, and everyone who supported this amazing team!
Thank you Kingston Saugerties Legion Baseball for taking the time to recognize not only the Cantine Complex, but the incredible people behind the scenes that keep everything going.
Our team works hard to make sure the fields are ready, schedules are coordinated, facilities are maintained, and everyone who comes to Cantine has the best experience possible. It can be a lot of work, but posts like this are a wonderful reminder of why it is all worth it!

When the temperature is high.. surprise ice cream is always the right answer!🍦😎
A big shout out to Efros Orthodontics for showing up for our Summer Rec kids as well as the field crew at Cantine today. After spending time out in the summer heat this sweet treat was a perfect way to cool down. Thank you for your kindness and for making our day a little sweeter!

Sometimes the kindness of our community shines through.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the individual who took the time to repaint the picnic table and bench at Mt. Marion Park after they were recently vandalized.

We learned of the damage late yesterday and had planned to bring the table back to our maintenance facility today to sand and repaint it ourselves. Unfortunately, the rain delayed those plans. Before we had the opportunity, someone stepped up and restored it.

Your thoughtfulness, generosity, and pride in our community did not go unnoticed. Thank you for helping keep Mt. Marion Park a welcoming place for everyone to enjoy. Small acts of kindness like yours make a big difference, and we are truly grateful.
