🍎 Summer meals made easy! The YMCA of Southwest Florida is proud to provide FREE meals for kids and teens ages 18 and under this summer.

Visit participating Sarasota locations Monday through Friday from June 1 through August 7 for nutritious meals and community support.

Meals are free, kid-friendly, and must be eaten on site.

More than 14 Sarasota YMCA Community Board members and volunteersrecently rolled up their sleeves to package and load meals for our Summer Food Program.

Together, they helped prepare food that will support thousands of children and families across Southwest Florida this summer.

We’re grateful for leaders who don’t just support our mission—they live it. Thank you to our Community Board volunteers for helping ensure local families have access to nutritious meals when they need them most.

Happy Father’s Day from your YMCA where our history of supporting Fathers traces all the way back to the holiday’s founding over a century ago!

In 1910, Sonora Smart Dodd, a Spokane, Washington resident, held the first Father’s Day celebration at her local YMCA to honor her father, William Smart, a Civil War veteran and single parent who raised six children on his own after his wife died during childbirth.

This Father’s Day, the YMCA celebrates the legacy of Sonora Smart Dodd and all the fathers and father figures who lead with love, strength and compassion every day. 🩵 💙

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom, opportunity, and belonging make our communities stronger.

Today, we honor the significance of this day and celebrate the people, stories, and contributions that continue to shape our community.
