Meet Christian Minor, Co-Chairman at Converge Public Strategies and a driving force behind FSPA’s Government Relations efforts in Tallahassee. Known for his quick wit and strategic mindset, Christian brings energy, and plenty of caffeine, to advocating for Florida’s pool and spa industry.
With 15 years in government relations (or “47 in Tallahassee time,” as he puts it), Christian has built a reputation for navigating complex policy issues and spotting bad ideas before they become law.
💼 What he does:
From lobbying alongside FSPA Chief Government Relations Officer, Dallas Theisen, to tackling policy challenges head-on, Christian works behind the to ensure FSPA members are represented at every stage of the legislative process.
📌 Key focus areas:
Protecting the industry from unnecessary regulation, pushing back on misguided policies, and ensuring fair competition, especially when outside industries try to step into the pool space.
💡 Industry insight:
Success in advocacy isn’t just about what happens in committee meetings, it’s about showing up, building relationships, and being present when it matters most.
🌴 Why FSPA?
“Florida is the swimming pool capital of the universe.” Christian values working with members who are hands-on, building, designing and innovating, while he helps make sure policy decisions support their success.
📣 Why member voices matter:
FSPA members aren’t just business owners, they’re voters, employers and community leaders. Their real-world perspective is one of the most powerful tools in advocacy.
🏃 Outside the Capitol:
Christian is a competitive runner (Go Noles!) chasing a Boston Marathon qualifier, enjoys time with his wife and two dogs, and is preparing for his newest and most important role yet, welcoming his first daughter this October.
👏 Thank you, Christian, for your dedication, advocacy, and for bringing both expertise and personality to the fight for our industry!
