Survivors In Sync are wrapping up an amazing first five days in France! π«π·π
Over the past five days, we've been making memories, exploring beautiful destinations, and preparing for competition. Our journey began with smooth travels in our signature pink practice jerseys as we arrived in stunning Annecy and settled into our temporary home away from home.
Since then, we've toured the charming village, taken in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Annecy, and enjoyed breathtaking mountain views. We also explored the magnificent ChΓ’teau de Menthon-Saint-Bernard and spent time discovering more of everything Annecy has to offer.
Our adventures continued with a visit to the race site in Aix-les-Bains, where we practiced on the beautiful waters of Lac du Bourget. We also enjoyed strolling through the historic cobblestone streets of nearby ChambΓ©ry, soaking in its rich history and culture.
One of the most inspiring moments of the week was joining the Parade of Nations in Aix-les-Bains, proudly walking shoulder to shoulder with thousands of fellow breast cancer survivors from around the world. The strength, resilience, and sisterhood on display were truly unforgettable. ππ
While today's races were unfortunately rained out, our spirits remain high. Tomorrow marks our first race day, and we're excited to compete in one of our favorite events, the 200-meter race!
Thank you for following our journey and supporting us every paddle stroke of the way. Please keep sending your good wishes as we race, celebrate survivorship, and proudly represent our community!

Meet our crew!
Hi I am Amy and I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2017 and got another cancer diagnosis in September of 2023. I found the Survivors in Sync ladies during a Making Strides event and was welcomed into this team of courageous and compassionate SISters. I started paddling in July of 2024 with SIS and have had a wonderful, supportive environment to thrive in. Some of my teammates were just heading to an International Dragon Boat Federation race in Ravenna, Italy and I was in AWE! I am thrilled to be heading to Aix les Bains, France for the IBCPC Dragon Boat Festival this August, which is the goal I've been preparing for these last two years to join these women in competition and to share an amazing journey.

Meet our crew!
Hi, Iβm Angela! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and founded Survivors in Sync in 2013, with the generous support of Save Our Sisters and the Tampa Bay Pink Dragon Ladies.
Since then, SIS has taken me to Puerto Rico, Canada, Italy (twice!), New Zealand, and soon, France. I never imagined that such a challenging time in my life would lead to so many incredible adventures, lifelong friendships, and amazing people. Iβm so grateful for this journey and everyone who has shared it with me!π
