Summer beach rugby is almost in the books, but we’ve still got a little sand left in us.

Come out for our last regular beach touch session of the summer. Rugby player, former player, never touched a rugby ball before — doesn’t matter. Everyone’s invited. Bring some water, bring some friends, and come have a runaround with us.

🔥 NEXT WEEK we’re wrapping up the summer with our Beach Rugby Cookout! Rugby, food, drinks, beach, and one last get-together before we trade the sand back in for the pitch.

Had to stop by and show some love to one of the businesses that supported our first tournament last year! 🏉⛳️🥃

They hooked us up with an awesome gift basket for the tournament and helped make Year 1 a success.

Thanks to everyone who came out for beach touch last night! Another great evening on Siesta Key and a pretty solid way to spend a Wednesday. 🤙

We’re officially down to our FINAL TWO WEDNESDAYS of summer beach rugby:

One more regular session. 6:30 PM at Siesta Key Main Beach.

We’re finishing summer the right way. We’ll get some rugby in and then fire up the grill and hang out at the pavilions right next to where we play.

Bring the family, bring some food/drinks, bring something for the grill, and stick around after rugby. 🍔🌭🍻

It’s been an awesome summer on the sand, so let’s get a big group out for these last two weeks and send it off properly.

🏖️ A full-circle moment.

A few months ago, we kicked off our summer 7s season by hosting the inaugural Siesta 7s—our club’s first-ever beach rugby tournament. It was a huge milestone for Sarasota Rugby, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of so many people in the Florida rugby community.

This Saturday, we wrap up the summer by heading south to Beerfoot 7s for our final beach tournament of the season.

A huge thank you to the SWFL Hammerheads and the Beerfoot crew for all the advice, guidance, and support they gave us while we were building Siesta 7s. Having experienced tournament organizers willing to help a new event get off the ground meant a lot, and we’re grateful for everything they did.

Now it’s time for one last day on the sand.

🏉 Sarasota RFC vs. Hammerhead 7s – 9:00 AM to kick off the day.

Let’s finish the beach season the same way we started it—with great rugby, great people, and a whole lot of sand.
