Summer has its own rhythm.

Schedules change. Travel happens. Routines loosen. And sometimes practice quietly slips away.

But your yoga practice doesnโ€™t have to disappear in the summer.

It can be simpler. Gentler. More spacious.

One class. One Zoom session. One private session.

One small return to your body. That counts.

At Yoga from the Heart, weโ€™re here through the quieter months with in-studio classes, Zoom options, and private sessions to help you stay connected to your body and your practice.

Come as you are. Weโ€™ll meet you there.

Canโ€™t reach up your back comfortably?

A towel can be a wonderful helper for shoulder mobility because it gives your body support, feedback, and a little extra reach without forcing.

Move slowly. Keep the breath easy. Let the towel help you explore the movement gradually.

Your shoulders donโ€™t need to be forced into place. They need patience, support, and clear movement.

A little teaching moment from class.

One-Legged Downward-Facing Dog Pose can look like itโ€™s about lifting the leg higher, but thatโ€™s not really the point.

The deeper work is learning how to maintain symmetry and space through the hip sockets, spine, and shoulders. The challenge is to keep your foundation as balanced as possible while one leg lifts into the air โ€” keeping the pelvis as square and centered as possible. Maintaining equal length through both sides of the waist takes steady attention, awareness, and breath.

In our classes, weโ€™re always looking at how to practice in a way that is clear, supported, and intelligent โ€” not forced.

Thatโ€™s the heart of Yoga from the Heart.

Sometimes the body doesnโ€™t need more effort. It needs a little space, a little breath, and a slower way back to ease.

This gentle movement is a simple way to notice where youโ€™re holding tension and invite the body to soften without forcing.

Move slowly. Breathe easily. Let your body respond.

Small, thoughtful movements can make a big difference.

Shoulders often feel tight when they need a combination of mobility, strength, and support.

This simple movement is a gentle way to build shoulder awareness without forcing.

Move slowly. Breathe easily. Notice what changes.

Over time, movements like this can help your posture feel more supported and your upper back feel less tight.

We are so grateful for the students, caregivers, and volunteers who make this class such a meaningful community.

Teaching yoga for people with Parkinsonโ€™s has been one of the most meaningful parts of our work at Yoga from the Heart.

This class is about so much more than movement.

It is about confidence. Confidence. Connection. Adaptability.
And learning how to work with the body with patience and respect.

We are deeply grateful for our wonderful volunteer teaching assistants who help make this class feel supported, safe, and welcoming. Their presence matters more than they may know.

This is the heart of what we do: thoughtful yoga, caring support, and a community that meets people where they are.
