Nick Torres started BJJ with us when he was probably 9 yrs old. Moved away for college as a Blue Belt. Last time he competed was in 2020. Decided to do Newbreed American Cup in Jacksonville Yesterday. He asked permission to sign up under our team name and won all 4 matches by submission as an adult blue belt, for the first time, taking double gold in Gi and No-Gi. By watching the footage, I could see he used ALL the competition choice moves he learned many years ago. Strong foundation! He believes in the techniques he learned and has total confidence in himself. And this is why ladies and gentlemen I AM TOUGH ON YOU TO REMEMBER EVERYTHING I TEACH YOU!!!!! What a beautiful display of gratitude, loyalty and honor when he wanted to compete under our name still and he REPRESENTED like in the old times! This is what this is about! 🙏🏻💪🏻🏆
