A while back we posted a testimonial from one of our long time Customers, Mark. Everyone lover it so much we thought you might want to hear from his wife and life long riding partner, Deb!

Deb’s bike testimonial.

I will be turning 71 this year and it’s my goal to keep on riding.

I grew up riding bikes, skateboarding and roller skating.

I ended up swimming competitively year round from age 12-19.

I got into serious biking about 30 years ago. My husband Mark shared his biking passion with me. I had done a little mountain biking, but he showed me the endless miles of beautiful dirt single track and fire road trails that we are surrounded by.

When we met in 1996 we lived in the East Bay of San Francisco and spent every weekend exploring new trails there and in Marin County, Santa Cruz and Tahoe. We couldn’t get enough. To this day, every trip is about where we will be biking.

We also did some road biking which led us to triathlons.

The Xterra mountain bike triathlons were way more fun and right up our ally.

Fast forward to present day. Mark is 81, and as I said, I’ll be 71. So no more running for us, but biking is still front and center.

We progressed to E mountain bikes which has been so much fun. We still get a workout, but the little bit of extra motor help is much appreciated. We still ride technical single track and hit the hard hill climbs with a vengeance.

Being out in the forest and completing a ride is still a thrill.

I love my Specialized Levo SL Carbon. My knees are bad from so much running and jumping over the years, so if I have to, I just add a bit more power. I’m still sweating and still breathing hard but I can complete the ride and feel fulfilled.
