Traditional Aikido of Sonoma offers a rare opportunity to study and train O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba's

Ian Noel Kennedy 5th dan is the president of the non-profit and chief instructor at Takemusu Aikido of Sonoma. Nathan Feileacan 4th dan is the owner and chief instructor of Takemusu Aikido of Sebastopol. Paul Olszewski 2nd dan runs a kids' and adults' aikido progam in Petaluma. Bryan Sardoch will be starting a new Rohnert Park dojo in 2015. Classes in this form of self defense are ongoing, and offered in a non-competitive atmosphere for all ages.

Dennis Tatoian Sensei passed away yesterday, 2/8/18. I owe most of my advancement in aikido to his dedication; his dedication to Iwama, the Saito family, and the myriad students he taught and mentored in his decades on and off the mat.

In keeping with the dojo's status as a 501(c)3 Nonprofit, Kennedy Sensei has made all training at Takemusu Aikido of Sonoma and Traditional Aikido of Sonoma FREE to all students of aikido.

Students already training under another Sensei must first get approval from their current instructor before cross-training at TAOS.

All classes follow in the tradition of Iwama Style Aikido and include Aiki-Ken and Aiki-Jo as well as taijutsu.

Uchideshi quarters are available for short and long-term stays (inquire as to pricing/application)
