Got my 805 Dorado yesterday fishing the Channel Islands. Unfortunately it was the only one we got despite finding lots of healthy kelps in perfect water. The kelps were holding thousands of baby Yellowtail that were 6-8”.

The cool thing, I caught the Dorado right at sunrise and it was the first fish I join hooked on the Calstar 95J that I got from Chuck.

We did have some incredible fishing on Bonito, Barracuda and the 4-8 # Yellowtail. We released a lot of fish yesterday but overall super fun fishing.

Bait situation was small to medium Anchovy and we saw huge schools of it all around. Size 4-6 light wire circle hooks were the ticket for the Anchovy with a 1/8 - 1/4 oz slider.
