Pau hana means the moment work's done. I usually hit the launch still chewing on whatever meeting ran long. Then I push off, and a few strokes in there's just less room for it. The board doesn't ask for much. Knees soft, eyes up. Twenty minutes on flat, gold-lit water is plenty. I come home looser, and honestly a lot nicer to be around.
What's the first thing that goes quiet once you're out there?
