Let's talk springs. 🤍
On the reformer, spring color tells you how much resistance you're working with. From lightest to heaviest, it goes: White, yellow, grey, blue
Here's the part that surprises people: a lighter spring doesn't always mean easier. Depending on the movement, less resistance can ask for more control and stability from you. It really depends on the exercise, so there's no one right answer.
Want to change your springs? Just wave down your instructor and they'll help you find what works for you. That's what we're here for.
One more tip: grey and blue springs can be tricky to put on. If you need a hand, walk to the front platform and pull with both arms. No need to wrestle with it.
Every JETSETter at JETSET Pilates gets to find their own setup, and it can change from movement to movement.
Save this for your next class and send it to a friend who's new to the reformer. 🫶
