Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible Viet Steps dance moms — thank you for every early morning, late-night rehearsal pickup, long travel trip, carefully packed costume, pinned áo dài, clean Ballet buns, and loud cheer from the audience. Your dedication is about so much more than dance. Through every rehearsal and performance, you are helping preserve Vietnamese traditions, language, culture, and identity for the next generation.
The time, sacrifice, and love you pour into your children today will become part of their future forever. One day, they may forget a dance step or a performance, but they will remember the pride you gave them in their roots, the community you helped build around them, and the traditions you worked so hard to keep alive. Because of you, our culture continues forward — not only remembered, but lived, celebrated, and passed on with love.
Thank you for being the heart behind Viet Steps and for shaping a future where our children will always know where they come from 💐🩰✨

We want to inform our community that Viet Steps will not be performing at tomorrow’s event in light of the recent letter and the concerns it has raised.
Viet Steps is a youth dance group dedicated to preserving and celebrating Vietnamese culture and heritage. Our work is grounded not only in artistic expression, but also in respect for the history and values that shape our community.
We want to be clear that we stand with the legacy and values of the Republic of Vietnam (VNCH), which hold deep meaning for many of our members, families, and supporters. This is an important part of our identity and something we do not set aside lightly.
At the same time, we recognize the diversity of perspectives within the Vietnamese community. Our decision to withdraw is not made in opposition to the community, but rather reflects our commitment to act in alignment with our values and to avoid contributing to further tension in this moment.
We remain committed to uplifting Vietnamese culture and supporting our community in ways that foster respect, dignity, and understanding. We appreciate your understanding.
With respect,
Viet Steps
