The Belly Dance Guild

This month in belly dance - it's GILDED RAQS TIME!

Of course all we can think about is our fabulous belly dance festival, Gilded Raqs, which will be September 12-13 (the weekend after Labor Day, as usual!), in San Jose, CA. Two days of workshops, live music, authentic food, amazing shopping, drumming, and of course world-class dancing! All of the details are at thebellydanceguild.com/gilded-raqs

Is there other stuff this month? Sure! As always, Guild Members are holding their ongoing classes and meetups, such as Ma*Shuqa's Oasis Circles, Amanda's folkloric dance, and Malia's all-levels class. House of Inanna resumes their Saturday morning classes to go with Monday and Thursday evenings (the Saturday *after* Gilded Raqs!). Guild Member Sausan hosts weekly live music and dancing at her Al-Masri restaurant in SF, and there are monthly gatherings of Underground Nomads, Balkan Bacchanal, and dancers at Casablanca, El Morocco, Tannourine, and Peña Pachamama!
