Speaking of Tapas…

The teachers who build careers in this work are not the ones with the brightest fire. They’re the ones who keep showing up after the fire stops being interesting to anyone but them.

That’s what I look for in our students. That’s what I train them to become.

The next cohort of the Office Yoga Teacher Training is enrolling now. If you’re in this for the long game, come find us.

“If people are not happy with their jobs, they will not remain engaged; they will not last as productive employees. They may not quit formally, but they will quit emotionally.” — Fred Kofman, Conscious Business

I first shared this quote in 2018. Eight years later, “quiet quitting” is a proper noun and How to Do Nothing is a bestseller.

Kofman wasn’t predicting the future; he was reading the data. Companies that don’t invest in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being don’t just lose good people. They fail. That’s exactly why Office Yoga exists. And that’s why I can’t I do this work alone.

Read that again 🤓

Your body doesn’t care if you “believe” in yoga, whatever that means. Your body cares that you move it.

Drop a note in the comments if you “believe” this is true 👇

For the yoga teachers who DM’d me after last Wednesday’s piece, yes, this is the niche I was talking about.

The Office Yoga Teacher Training is built for yoga teachers (and serious enthusiasts) who’d rather work in conference rooms than studios. Sequences like the one in the newsletter, taught to the people who’d never set foot in a studio class. It’s the niche that took me from barely paying rent to a real career. Fifteen years and 475+ companies later, I get to train other teachers to do the same.

Next cohort starts July 25. Details in bio.

One of five moves in Wednesday’s piece.

Clasp your hands behind your back and bring them to your right hip. Drop your right ear toward your right shoulder. Three breaths (rock your head forward and back to get into the jaw and back of neck). Switch sides.

Four more like this, and the full 5-minute sequence, Wednesday in your inbox.
Subscribe in bio. No incense, ever.

Eight hours of sitting, in a slow and unsexy way, rearranges your body.

A 5-minute Desk Yoga sequence for the eye-rollers, the arm-crossers, and anyone who’s quietly decided yoga isn’t for them is coming June 3.
No mat. No flexibility. No incense. Just maintenance for the body you have.
