With life’s ever-changing landscape of joys and sorrows, asking what will truly serve our well-being is a layered question. By welcoming the natural flow of our emotions, we connect with a wiser, more expansive part of ourselves. This allows us to meet our needs and the needs of others with deep compassion and highest service rather than to react from a place of highest stress.
This feels like such a useful process for our mental and physical health so we’ve offered this event 4 times a year since December 2022!
Join us for FREE entrance to an abundant afternoon of inspiration, education, and resources in the form of personal 1:1 sessions, group classes, conversation circles, body therapies, readings, and more! All that aims to support individual and collective well-being. 🙌 Registration opens soon!

SF Well-being Fair
Saturday, September 19
12noon-5pm
Location: Harvey Milk Center for the Arts
Complete the Practitioner’s Interest Form (link in bio) by Friday, August 28th to be eligible. No cost to be involved. Promote your existing business or use this as a kickoff for your brand!
We seek a diverse team of practitioners and topics. We move beyond wellness, which can feel like a narrow corridor of access only to some. We highlight well-being to remind everyone that being well is our birthright. We create reminders and inspiration that we are meant to thrive versus be organized by status, financial access, place of origin, skin color, etc.
Come together for a powerful reminder of what we can generate in community.

We’re mid-week and a good moment to pause and reflect for the remainder of this week:
Intention for the rest of this week:
What are you attached to that becomes a cage?
In your effort to build freedom, are you accidentally trapping yourself in someone else’s clever design?
Yoga teaches that the mind creates these boundaries.
This week, connect to your true nature of collective peace, and notice how systems of oppression have shaped your sense of self.
———
In thinking about how we can unconsciously uphold systems of oppression, a thorough review of our everyday actions can be insightful.
—When we dislike our body shape or feel we’re not enough or too much.
—When our work pushes us to exhaustion/illness and we feel this is part of the path to success.
—When we believe our safety must come at the expense of someone else’s.
—When a religion or an organized system creates a belief system that encourages divisions between humans and all sentient beings,
Is this truly for our well-being or does it support a supremacy system?
We have the innate wisdom of a collective experience based on the longing we feel for love and peace. When this longing is manipulated, when trauma is intertwined with a political ideology, even a brilliant mind can be driven to believe war and genocide are the only paths to peace. After untangling indoctrination from truth and reviewing attachments to an outdated story, real change is possible.

Intention for this week:
Much of our material world is designed to encourage us to intertwine our identity with our possessions, titles, financial status, even who we surround ourselves with.
That can limit us.
This week, I will find moments of fulfillment in being, not in accumulating or achieving.
————
So many things are possible in this world and yet we see more disparities everyday. Are we limiting ourselves by being so defined by material reality and personal abundance? Could we have greater generosity and wealth of well-being when working towards a more just future for all? It’s not meant to be an easy question or even a suggested prompt for living. Intended more for reflection on what could generate a more loving and peaceful nature for humankind transformation.

Track how often you feel compassion for yourself or someone else this week.
Alternately, notice when you feel indifference, desire for revenge, or disregard for someone else’s struggle.
Get to know yourself and increase self-compassion by using this as a non-judgemental mirror this week.
——
It’s difficult to not judge ourself or others. Often, it’s a way for us to define one another. But beyond the differences which can reinforce othering, is it possible we’re actually all working hard to understand common needs with shared safety?
Reflexively, we may find more satisfaction through projection versus self-reflection. Our material world can more easily inspire judgement and shaming versus curiosity and compassion.
If this feels useful to you, think of how you can experiment with making changes in everyday interactions versus letting the survival-self run your world.
