Forge Krav Maga San Francisco
Forge strength, resilience, and peak fitness through modern self-defense and combat-based training. Forge Krav Maga used to be Tactica Krav Maga Institute.
With Krav Maga, boxing, kickboxing, BJJ, and Filipino weapons tactics, you’ll build practical skills to protect yourself and those around you. Danny Zelig retired from the San Francisco space and his most senior student - Micha Hershman - now runs the school.

A well-timed head kick can end a fight in seconds. Few techniques demand more from your hips, your balance, and your timing, and few pay off as much when they land.
In a self-defense context we throw them more sparingly. But the mechanics you build training a high kick, mobility, base, timing, carry straight into everything else you do standing up. And knowing how to check and cover one matters just as much as knowing how to throw it.

One of the reasons we like arm drags for self-defense? They offer a lot of upside without requiring a lot of risk.
This week, Coach Evandro demonstrates an arm drag to a double leg takedown:• Arm drag• Control the hips• Lift the leg• Drop your outside hand to block the knee• Drive through for the takedown
Even if the arm drag doesn’t lead to the takedown, you’ve often improved your position without exposing yourself to much danger. When it does work, you stay on your feet while your attacker ends up on the ground—giving you more options to disengage if that’s the safest choice.
