Overall a JOY to witness the youth step up to challenge themselves this way and come out injury free and with no regrets on taking the risk. An exhilarating (nerve wracking!) experience for the adults tho 😅 nonetheless worth it, right? 😉 Everyone did amazing and almost all had opponents with more comp experience than them which made it even more exciting and rewarding to see their grit and resilience shine through in their matches. Back to work next wk to continue cultivating our growth as a team.

Congratulations to the team this weekend! . Couldn’t be happier for Suz securing gold at her brown belt debut 🤎 and both Duyên .tack and David for bringing home the hardware both in gi and no gi! 🥇🥈 Such pure JOY and inspiration it brings to the team as a whole witnessing all the Heart and heat laid out on the comp mats! ❤️‍🔥 You all deserve to celebrate the gains beyond the “bonus” medals! ✨

Highlights: Suz’s first comp at brown and takes first place🥇🙌🏽 David finishes with a🦶lock in 30 sec in no gi 🔐 Duyên earns the gold with the fastest sub in her gi division 💛🔥

Thank you again to the TEAM families and friends ofc for your presence, relentless support, and that good energy throughout this day (and night) but moreso leading up to the tournament, in training and in Life. So many lessons learned, still and always (un)learning beyond a single day but when the time came to show up, our people’s champs stepped it up and as .malana would say “put on a show!” 😮‍💨 We love to see it 😍 and we keep on and on..

Congratulations Hailey! ✨ Super proud of your dedication, persistence and courage to go out there to compete! To the parents/family, team cheering her on at the tournament and back home, thank you for the continued support and belief that our kiddos can reach their full potential, learn and grow with each experience. Didn’t get the W but she did her thing, head held high and ready to prep for the next! As much as a medal is shiny and nice, we can still count our wins within the process and celebrate the progress.
