đ Please vote for Dance with Pride for âBest Overall Contingentâ at the 2026 San Francisco Pride Parade! (link in bio)
Weâre deeply honored to be one of just five finalists out of more than 200 contingents that participated this year.
The Best Overall Contingent award recognizes outstanding visual presentation, creative expression, emotional impact, the energy and joy a contingent brings to Market Street, and how meaningfully it reflects this yearâs Pride theme: âResistance in Action.â
Because we believe everyone watching deserves a show, our contingent danced fully for the entire 1.6 mile route. We were made up of 200 dancers and volunteers, ages 17 to 76, representing the LGBTQ+ community, allies and our families, all from many different backgrounds. Each of us came to the contingent with our own reasons for showing up - our own stories, hopes, gratitude, advocacy, remembrance, and celebration. Together, our intentions became one collective act of resistance through joy, visibility, community and dance.
If our contingent moved or inspired you (and/or you want to support people and organizations you know and love) weâd be incredibly grateful for your vote. Every vote helps celebrate what this dance community created together and the values we are proud to represent everyday.
One quick note: On the voting page, weâre listed as âRhythm in Motion â Dancers With Pride.â Not quite right, but thatâs us! (Our official name is Rhythm & Motion and Dancersâ Group, and our contingent is Dance with Pride.) đđ

DANCE WITH PRIDE IS CONTINGENT #65 in the SF Pride Parade!! Look for our 200 dancers and volunteers sharing all the love on the streets of SF - Sunday, June 28. Parade starts at 10:30am (Weâll hit the route sometime between 11:30am-12:30pm.)
Check out a preview of our last two rehearsals - outdoors at the Yerba Buena Gardens and in studios at ODC. This is just a fraction of the dancersâŚimagine what itâll look like when you triple the number of dancers. Thatâs what youâll see on parade day! đ¤Š

On Sunday, we held our first ever Rhythm & Motion Dance WERK-out class at the ODC Dance CommonsâŚ
âŚand the result was chaos in the cutest way possible, joyful, lip-sync fantasy realness, laughter and community all rolled up in one fabulous morning.
Thank you to TO # # and Michellyn Star for helping us create one of the most delightfully over-the-top Rhythm & Motion experiences weâve ever had.
And thank you to every student who showed up ready to dance, play, connect, and celebrate. If you missed the class or want to relive some moments, check out the videos.
Drag culture reminds us that joy is powerful, self-expression matters, and sometimes inspiring change and progress starts by boldly showing up as yourself, your alter ego or your fabulous inner divaâŚand giving others permission to do the same.
Happy Pride, everyone! đ đ

â¨Rhythm & Motion Dance WERK-out brings the signature R&M Fusion class you know and love - and DRAGS it all the way up! Open to all levels and abilities, the class balances learning choreography and technique with the pure euphoria of dancing at the best party youâve ever been to. Taught by Michellyn@ Starr and TO # # (the drag personas of Nehemiah Aldrich and Jess Bozzo), this special one-time class will celebrate Pride month and bring the drama and fun of drag into the dance studio.  Expect lip-syncing, big music, bolder moves, and the kind of energy that makes you forget youâre working out.â¨â¨We start with a warm-up, build to some seriously fierce high energy choreography pulling from music from all over the world, and finish on the floor stretching it all out. Itâs sweaty, itâs joyful, itâs a lot - and youâre going to love it.â¨â¨Suggested attire: Wear whatever makes you feel like THAT DIVA - just make sure you can move and sweat in it. Some people do this class in bare feet, most wear supportive footwear (no street shoes please - yes, that means heels and hard soles too).
