💗Join Jasmine tomorrow-Saturday 8/29 at 11 for Love Saves The Day Benefiting the People of Nepal through Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) —providing urgently needed humanitarian aid in moments of crisis and natural disasters. After major flash floods struck the Rasuwa district in Nepal, MSF teams experienced in providing emergency responses arrived in Nepal less than 24 hours after the floods struck to assess the needs on the ground.
For MSF, the ability to respond quickly to medical humanitarian emergencies is crucial to saving lives. Unrestricted funds allows them to allocate resources most efficiently and where the needs are greatest.
“What the world needs is servants, not leaders. Everyone’s wish is to become a leader. We have enough leaders who are not real leaders. Let us become a real servant instead. That is the only way to become a real leader. We should recognise those in need and help them. That is our dharma (duty), and we should not expect anything in return. We should share whatever we have with others, and we should try to contribute to the welfare of society in some way. It is through giving that we progress on the spiritual path. The blood that is pumped by the heart is circulated and distributed evenly throughout the whole body. What would happen if our circulation were to stop? Likewise, whatever we have should be circulated and shared. It is through selfless sharing that the flower of life becomes beautiful and fragrant.”
Come dedicate your practice to the greater good and your presence and practice with purpose will directly serve MSF serving those in need 🙏🏼 Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Amma Embracing the World

“You can wish your life away. But if you’re going to dream, you’re going to have to get out and, like I always say, you have to put some wings on them dreams, and some feet and fingers and some hands. They gotta get into some stuff. You can’t just sit around and think of all the things you want to do. You’ve got to think of what you want to do, and then you’ve got to get out and make that happen. The magic is inside of you; there ain’t no crystal ball.”
Rest in Peace, Dolly Parton, such a beautiful inspirational light in this world and loved by so many

“I went into YTT with no idea of what to expect, as it was a new and unexpected opportunity. Little did I know that I would leave with a new found connectedness to myself and all other beings. I’m a reserved, sometimes closed off person but it didn’t take me long to open up and feel right at home with the Lotus family. Everyone involved in the Lotus training and studio is phenomenal in their openness, kindness, and actions.
The quality, compassion, devotion, knowledge, and support provided in this training is unparalleled. I would recommend it to ANYONE as an opportunity to grow physically, emotionally, socially, cognitively, psychologically, and spiritually. There are endless ways to satiate the human need for growth through living and learning about the science of Yoga. I developed an affinity for the philosophical discussions, readings and exploration of Jnana Yoga-Yoga of knowledge.
Jasmine and the other teachers do an excellent job distilling the great Yogic practices into the 200-hour training, which comes and goes seemingly as quickly as the breath. On top of learning a brilliant way to teach Yoga through Lotus Flow, the YTT helped me find and add fuel to my divine spark. That spark has grown into a radiant and powerful sun, waiting to shine light on truth for others to grow and developed based on the knowledge accrued and introduced in this training. I have learned and will continue to develop a lifelong practice, skills, and knowledge and for that, I am forever grateful. - Kris Evens Lotus Grad

🌱 — We are deep in Pitta Season (summer/early fall)! One of the guiding forces of our practice at Lotusland is Ayurvedic wisdom: yoga’s sister science of healing through living in harmony with the seasons and ourselves.
Pitta dosha is a combination of water + fire — hot, sharp, oily, light and penetrating. In balance, it fuels ambition, vitality and clarity. Under summer’s intense heat it can tip into imbalance: inflammation, skin rashes, hyperacidity, and mental/emotional heat like anger, impatience and reactivity. And one organ takes the brunt of that fiery overload: the liver!
Swipe for simple Ritucharya (seasonal habits) to balance Pitta, support liver health and stay cool + clear-headed all summer — naturally 🧊 Plus Jasmine’s Cucumber Watermelon Rose Mocktail recipe 🥂
Stay cool with us at Lotusland:
🕯️ Tuesday Candlelight Slow Flow — 8:30pm
🌊 Cooling Yin, gentle flow + restorative
🎶 Friday Night Live: Chris’s Jivamukti Yoga + Sound Bath
💃 Zoe’s upcoming Reggaeton Yoga — 5:30pm
