Jess has been with us since June ’21.
Over the years her roles and responsibilities have grown and she is now head Pâtissière, while planning and executing all things baked! She thrives off a measured, precise, 25 step recipe (it takes a certain type of personality) and we thank her for it. Jess also manages the kitchen on packaging/delivery days and has memorized every clients’ likes, dislikes and allergies! Jess has worked at famous East Bay restaurants and gets to share with us her baking expertise and knowledge – lucky us!

I believe animals should live on grass and under the sun, as Mother Nature intended. And Silver Sky Ranch clearly believe this, too.
PSA this is PASTURE RAISED!!
When you buy Trader Joe's and Whole Foods meat that says "FREE RANGE" - KNOW THEY NEVER EVEN SAW THE SUN 😭it's terrible 😢
Silver Sky Ranch also only slaughters one cow a week...talk about a beautifully tiny, sustainable practice 😍
And if you cannot afford to buy humanely raised meat, THAN DONT EAT MEAT!
There, I said it.
I'm tired of influencers and "health-forward podcasters" promoting diets like the "paleo diet" but never once mentioning the ethical treatment of animals.
There's nothing wrong with eating mainly rice and beans (like a majority of cultures around the world) and animal protein only 1 to 2 times a week.
And if you get bloated and can not digest rice and beans then see my naturopath to take care of your gut issues 🙌🏼

I love learning about foods and their medicinal purposes, and in addition, what foods paired together create an even bigger beneficial bang (than when eaten on their own)!

When I cook for my clients, it is with these intentions as well…every ingredient I choose serves a specific purpose… I LOVE IT… So fun!
Anyway, I love this combination and have been eating it almost every day down here in Mexico.
When I cook for myself, I cook with a purpose and choose foods for their health benefits 🙂 do I always want flax seeds on my yogurt? No, but I always sprinkle a little on because probiotics (yogurt) need high fibrous foods (flax) to thrive and do their thang’ in our tummies!
Lately I’ve been enjoying making a Lemon Honey Flax oil dressing for this salad. I like this Flax oil for dressings. And anything tastes better with chopped nuts on top and fresh greens
