You’re not getting older…

You’re losing your foundation.

Why do so many adults keep getting hurt?

Whether it’s CrossFit, HYROX, pickleball, running, basketball, hiking, or simply trying to keep up with your kids…

Most of us have spent years exercising…

…but almost no time learning how to move.

Before speed.
Before strength.
Before sport.

Build a foundation that lasts.

That’s why I created Athlete for Life—a step-by-step curriculum that helps you identify weak links, rebuild your foundation, and move with confidence again.

From chronic pain to being active. Living in fear is CRAZY

I’m currently offering FREE Athlete for Life Movement Assessments to help as many of us “older” adults live again.

There’s no workout and no obligation.

I’ll walk you through the same assessment process and questions I use with my athletes so you can better understand your body, discover what’s holding you back, and leave with tools you can use immediately.

If this resonates with you, send me a message. I’d love to help you get moving again. Whether you’re local or not, let’s chat!

It’s not easy getting older. You remember being able to do things. Who ever left these double tires in the am, thank you.

I haven’t done much box jumping, but have been on that athlete for life kick. So seeing those double tires stacked up peaked my interest 🤔. Can I jump that?

To be honest, it was kind of scary. But like I always tell my athletes, “There’s only one way to find out.”

I’m happy to hit this jump. It’s great proof of concept but also a good boost in confidence. Getting older means doing A LOT more just to be able to keep some fitness and athleticism. It makes the “boring” training worth it.

This was fun!

Climbing is a lot of Pauses(Holds) and Drop & Catches 😅.
Being able to do physical activities with my kids, a big reason for “training.”

Got a 2 week pass on Groupon for Caleb’s Bday. Anyone want to go with us next time?

I was a gym rat growing up, and honestly, it helped shape who I am today.

I want the next generation to have that same opportunity.

“Back in my day”…

The gym wasn’t filled with people staring at their phones. It wasn’t about selfies, followers, or creating content. It was a place to burn off stress, work through problems, build confidence, and learn that results are earned.

That’s what is still about.

I want students to experience that.

Usually, the biggest barriers are cost and time.

Well, the good thing about owning the gym is I can do something about both.

Our unlimited membership is normally $199/month. For high school and college students, I’ve made it just $99 for the entire summer.

Not $99 per month.

$99 for June, July, and August.

Most camps cost more than that and only last a week.

This gives students 3 full months of access to all our classes, including Saturday Barbell Club, weekday classes, coaching, mentorship, and a positive community. Plus, every hour we’re open is Open Gym.

Time isn’t the excuse anymore.

Instead of complaining about students spending all summer on their phones, I’d rather create an opportunity for them to do something different.

Something that could impact them physically, mentally, and socially for years to come.

If you know a high school or college student who could benefit from this, please share it with them.

Let’s help more young people discover a love for fitness, training, and community.

The CFS Summer Steps Challenge starts today.

And here’s where most people will mess it up…

They’re about to walk a lot more than usual with the same movement patterns that caused their aches, pains, and injuries in the first place.

Take a video of yourself walking. Point your camera straight down at your legs and feet. Watch it back.

Do your feet collapse?
Do your knees cave in?
Do you shift side to side?
Do your toes point out?
What muscles are you using on each leg?

Most people have never actually looked. No one asks theses questions for you. Instead, it’s “we can fix it” $$$….

A fancy $250 pair of shoes won’t fix the way you walk.

Stretching, foam rolling, and treatments won’t magically build weak muscles or change poor technique.

Walking is a skill.

And like any skill, if you practice it wrong thousands of times a day, don’t be surprised when your body starts complaining.

Before you chase more steps(walk, jog, run, or sprint), make sure you’re earning them with better movement.

17 years.
17 Murphs.

And today just reminded me what actually makes this place special.

Yeah, we train hard.
Yeah, we push ourselves.

But the real win is that this has become a place where people can come together, bring their friends, bring their family, and just do life together for a few hours.

Because life moves fast.
Most days are just work, responsibilities, errands, repeat.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, people lose connection.

That’s why this matters.
Not just the workout.
The conversations after.
The shared suffering.
The laughs.
The conversations.
The group photos.
The feeling of belonging somewhere.

A place to hangout.
A place to reconnect.
A place to build relationships.

That’s what makes this community special. ❤️
