A big weekend for the Eagles on both sides of the Atlantic this weekend.
The USA men were triumphant over Portugal 30-29 in a dramatic win. Led by captain Jason Damm, whose leadership continues to set the standard after guiding California Legion to the Major League Rugby final and reaching 75 MLR appearances this season.
Meanwhile in Johannesburg, the USA women showed plenty of fight with second half tries from Freda Tafuna and debutants _ashley.cowdrey_ and Elizabeth Cook . All three tries were successfully converted by Bella Vogel.

🏉The Hartpury College Scholarship sends a U.S. female high school rugby player to Hartpury College in England, one of the world's premier rugby academies, for a full academic year.
🏉Hartpury College is a world-renowned rugby academy on a 360-hectare campus in Gloucestershire, England, 20 minutes from Gloucester and two hours from London. The Women's Rugby Academy has produced over 40 England U20s and countless senior England internationals. 15 of the 23-player squad that won the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup came through Hartpury.
🏉The scholarship covers one full academic year (September 2026 to June 2027), spanning both the XVs and 7s seasons. The recipient will carry a normal high school course load with credits transferable to her U.S. school.
❓Who is Eligible? U.S. sophomore or junior high school female rugby players who are in good academic and rugby standing, typically ages 16 to 18. Coaches are looking for players who are mature, coachable, have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and are resilient under pressure.
