Intrepid Sportfishing

Traveling up in beautiful weather. Yesterday was spent doing some incredible coastal fishing, with an extremely good Calico Bass bite and a few more Yellows in the mix.

Once we wrapped up an epic day on the water, Chefs Kenny and Logan put together an incredible sushi spread as we traveled north.

Very good fishing for us down below right now! Summer-time fishing is in full effect, with beautiful Dorado, Yellowfin, and Yellowtail hitting the deck, along with the occasional Wahoo.

Everyone is having a great time enjoying the incredible fishing and beautiful weather. We’re going to finish things off with a little inshore fishing before we call it a trip.

We departed on our Anglers Choice 8-day trip and pointed south. Luc Ofield and Rob Tressler from Anglers Choice kicked things off with tons of giveaways before everyone got settled in for the fishing days ahead. With extremely warm water down below, we decided to pump the brakes and start the trip targeting yellows on the beach—and it’s been very good to us. Plenty of beautiful-grade yellowtail to go around.

We arrived home this morning with a nice load of beautiful grade Yellowtail. Most of our fish were in the 20–30 pound class, with fly-lined baits, surface iron, and yo-yo jigs producing the best results. There was tons of surface action, with Yellowtail snaking around everywhere and keeping everyone busy. We also had a few Bluefin mixed in to make things even more interesting. We’re back out on our Anglers Choice 8-day rolling south.

Very good yellowtail fishing on our 3-day! The size has been impressive, with lots of fish in the 30-pound class. Multiple personal bests have been broken this trip.
