Trophy size fish and family fun. We go through plenty of short calico bass to put a decent catch together. Steady action. Nice vibe on the boat today. C'mon down and visit the boys and me, Fred
ON THE A-RIG!!! You would think that I would have learned by now? The best endorsement you can get from the bridge is to be told something isn't going to work. The fish God's will always smile on the angler and take great pleasure in humbling the captain. C'mon down and visit the boys and your humbled captain, Fred.

I've never been a fan of the A-rig. A little too busy for my simple mind. However, I do understand the novelty of the potential catch. Plenty of fun summer time action. C'mon down and visit the boys and me, Fred.
I'm not sure what is more amusing from the background commentary. The multiple OMG's or Chad and Matt's reaction to the yellowtail firing up next to the boat. It certainly feels like summertime. C'mon down and visit the boys and me, Fred

Fun morning at the Point Loma kelp beds. Bass, bonito, barracuda, yellowtail and white sea bass all showed up for the adventure. As we have seen excellent anchovies for bait the variety of species has grown. Curious what tomorrow will bring. C'mon down and visit the boys and me, Fred

Happy 4th of July.

I'm celebrating a milestone this year. My first year working on the Daily Double was 1976. I would have never guessed that I would eventually be an owner of this boat. Growing up following my bliss for fishing and now I get to share it with kids. The tug is the drug. It's been a healthy addiction. Love to all, Fred

REALLY COOL
We recaptured a sandbass we tagged on our Point Loma boat last Thursday (6/25). The fish was tagged near the border and caught today (7/1) on the buoy line. It traveled six miles in six days.
