Today, we celebrate International Olympic & Paralympic Day!
For athletes around the world, the Olympic and Paralympic Games represent the highest level of competition. At SDSU Adapted Athletics, that dream feels closer than ever.
This year, members of our program earned Team USA opportunities, represented the United States on the international stage, and continued building toward future Paralympic competition. With LA28 on the horizon, we’re proud to be the closest collegiate adapted athletics program to the Olympic & Paralympic Games and excited to support the next generation of athletes chasing those dreams.
Here’s to the athletes, coaches, supporters, and communities who make sports a powerful force for inclusion, opportunity, and excellence!

Today we’re proud to celebrate the first ever National Adaptive Sport Day!
Sports have the power to bring people together, break barriers, and create opportunities that extend far beyond competition. At SDSU Adapted Athletics, we see that impact every day through our athletes, coaches, and community.
April 28th marks the anniversary of the regulations enforcing Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, marking a major step forward for inclusion and access in sports and beyond. Nearly 1 in 4 Americans live with a disability, highlighting the importance of representation through inclusive sports. Today is about continuing to build a more inclusive future where everyone has the opportunity to compete, belong, and thrive.
Join us in celebrating the adapted sports community and the movement toward greater inclusion.
