Happy Monday! Summer is officially here and so are all our Summertime sticks the the great Jim Ellington - listen in as Bird walks you through the rack and shows you a few of the models that will make these next few months as fun as possible.

Summer surfboards are a thing of beauty. Short, wide grovelers that make every day surf super fun. This one from Hank Warner and $terling $pencer is a downright hoot. Listening as Bird breaks down the Centaur.

The Bird and S**t Daddy go back decades and the knowledge these guys have regarding surfboard is pretty amazing. S**t has built boards for everyone, managed factories and was an airbrush wizard among a hundred other things. Mario “Marty” Vaughn passed away this week. Who was he? It’s hard to describe in a post when the man lead a surfing life that was so influential in our area. He was a great surfer, a great friend and was a member of our surf community that everyone knew. From the 1970–2010s he was constantly on the scene and surfing everywhere from IB to Santa Cruz. Listen in as Bird shares a few words for our beloved friend Marty.

One last little bit about the futuristic we posted last week. What’s old is new and board designs that work never go away, they just morph and transform over the decades.

Happy - what do we have here today? Well it’s nothing short of a miracle that this board is still around much less looking showroom new. Bird speaks with about a soecial restoration board that is a collaboration between surfboard collectors. found this board in SB a couple years ago and gifted it to Bird back in 2025.
