Under ice
A sharp breath in, as that first touch of cold catches in your chest. Holding you in it’s grip, clearing your mind, so that the only thoughts you can find keep you centred, present, grounded, as you suspend weightless. Crystal clear waters open up before you, like the new space you’ve found in your mina, while your thoughts open up to take in a world made of ice.
Antarctica holds you
Gently
Sharply
Reminds you
That you are ever so small
In a world so vast
One small piece
In time
Photographed during the Blue Green Expeditions Antarctica Citizen Science expedition on board Oceanwide Expeditions vessel Ortelius.
