A perfect reminder of the power in surrender, not in weakness or defeat but in love , true power, transformation, and Great Mystery. I'm over a week late but better late than never-Happy Summer, everyone! As we move through the zodiac sign of Cancer, symbolizing our inner heart and soul life, and the sign of Leo, symbolizing our bold sharing and creative expression of our inner, soul life, I hope you are all ENJOYING YOUR BEAUTIFUL AND WONDERFUL SELVES to the fullest!

Enjoying your Self to the fullest is one of the themes that we will be exploring at our up and coming Heart Voyage Retreat this November in Nicaragua, and I am so excited to invite you to join us!

This November, myself and two other magical beings will be co-facilitating a deep and delightful voyage into the heart space, supporting all involved to express more of their magic, beauty, power, and greatness in the world.

There is a lot of talk about "the heart" these days with all kinds of sacred circles coming together to support opening the heart, seeing, feeling with the heart, and living from the heart.

But what do we mean when we say "the heart"?

Before you read my own creative musings about the heart, pause and reflect on what "heart" means to you.

What feelings, images, stirrings, reflections, and insights come to you when you explore the reality of "heart" in your life?

In your exploration, it can be helpful to ponder why we often see the heart as a part of a polarity called "head and heart".

Ok, my heart-musings:

"Home is where the heart is," "heart & soul, magic, dreams, visions/envisioning, pleasure, happiness, "the secret to happiness," emotions/feelings, relationships, intimacy, the spiritual heart, love, perception beyond logic, mystery, intuition, joy, here and now/presence, gratitude, connection, resonance, balance, wholeness, integration of Heaven & Earth-the Human & Divine, compassion, self-acceptance, sharing, giving/receiving, creativity, imagination...and more and more and more!

Thank Divine we have a physical body that can sense the world around us and DO.

Thank Tao we have an intellect that can think, conceptualize, and communicate.

But without HEART, we would feel nothing and therefore experience zero fulfillment or PLEASURE from our thinking and doing. And that is to say nothing about the loss of intimacy and relationships.

Thank God for our heart, our emotions, our sense of magic and mystery!

This Heart Voyage Retreat will be a space where you can get back in touch with your heart and/or strengthen your connection to your heart and soul. Yes, there will be time for dreaming and envisioning where you are headed, who you are becoming, and what you would like to create more of in your life, but the most powerful gift may be the experience of being present with the truth of how beautiful and perfect you already are. This is the foundation of working with the heart: being present to the awesome wonder of creation that you are and have always been and feeling all of that love and belonging right here and now.

Life is hard, isn't it? That's not all it is, but damn! I like to think that as Divine beings, we designed it this way because for us, boredom is the worst. We like adventure! A good story to tell! Even a tragic story is worth telling, and it certainly gets our attention. Right about now, at the Spring Equinox, I have a feeling many of us have some juicy stories to tell.

In January, I had a TIA stroke, a "mini-stroke". How bout' you? What's your story?

Of course, there's more to the story because I'm still here! And if you're reading these words, so are you. Whatever your story, you made it through. Congratulations! We're still here. We get to begin, again. Oh, Spring! Oh, rebirth! What will we do with this burst of energy, this fountain of life-force?

I'd like to offer up some guidance on how to direct this powerful life-current flowing through us, now: do what makes you happy. As long as it doesn't hurt yourself or anyone else, go ahead and do it. Does it inspire you? Does it ignite your passion? Does it light you up? Then, it's time to just do it. There may be a lot to do in order to nurture your vision. Creation takes time. But do begin it!

I'm taking this Spring medicine, too, by the way. That's why I'm writing this post. I get so lost in all the things I think I need to do before I can do what I want to do (it's been over a year since my last blog-post)! I think this particular blockage has been called "preparation paralysis" and "perfectionism". Uh, yeah, indeed!

But there comes a time when we've healed enough, envisioned enough, studied, prepared, evaluated, and practiced enough. At some point, we just have to put our creations out there. We have to put ourselves out there. Now, is the time. We're all on different paths, but I bet there is some action you can take toward your dreams. If you've been wondering when to begin, now is the time.

For myself, with my one wild and precious life, I want to continue being of service to others as they summon the courage to heal, learn to love themselves, and unleash their creativity into the world. I want to keep talking about Spirit, the essence of who we are, the Great Mystery of who we are. More, please! My muses are authenticity, simplicity, humility, creativity, and service. One foot in front of the other, and the path unfolds beneath my feet.

And you? Who are you? What is your message? What will you do with your one wild and precious life?

Vision comes, then we do our best to move in that direction. It takes courage and curiosity to do so. It takes openness to learning. Only fear can stop us, if we let it. Courage, curiosity, and openness to learning helps us put fear into proper perspective. Now, is the time to understand our fears, to feel the fear, and follow our vision, anyway.

The card I pulled just now from the Vision Quest Tarot reflects this powerful Springtime of new beginnings (it's the pic of the Native American in the post):

The Father of Fire in you is no joke! He reflects your passion, vision, inspiration, strength, power, presence, and sense of purpose. He is a leader, and so are you. First and foremost, we are leaders of our own lives, setting a unique example from which others can draw inspiration and courage for living authentically. Attune to the ancient fire in your heart, in your belly. Whatever it is, you can begin it. Follow your heart. Now, is the time.

Old wounds may be surfacing. Tears may be flowing. Relationships may be intense, right now, asking us to be vulnerable, tell the truth, and own our own reactions, stories, and feelings. But take a look at how far you have come! If there has been a great deal of shadow-work in your life, recently, it's purpose has been to deepen you and show you just how far you've come. Every time we have the courage to face our wounds honestly, as they surface, we get to heal and integrate our old stories into a kind of medicine that we share with the world.

You are the medicine! Know that you'll never be done healing and evolving. Know that you can share yourself with the world from wherever you are. Your imperfections are inspiring! Rough edges make you real and relatable. The time of presenting a false perfection to the world is over. That was the old paradigm. This new paradigm invites us to be transparent and real about our humbling-ly slow evolution while we share ourselves, heal, teach, grow. So, it is ok to be exactly where you are and still put your passions out there. You are worth it. We need you.

Now, is the time.

Why do I love talking about the soul so much?

Because it keeps my childlike wonder and awe alive.

So much of our worldly programming keeps our attention on survival and all the distracting and mostly unnecessary details of the modern lifestyle that we've created.

With our post-modern cultural belief in science as God, as material life being the only real aspect of our existence, we tend to exist in a disenchanted world and cosmos.

It's all just chemistry and physics. It's all just physical stuff, and the only consciousness and intelligence is inside we humans. And even with us, that consciousness and intelligence blinks out of existence when the brain and the rest of the body dies.

To talk about the soul is to vibe with Great Mystery and Imagination.

I like to think of the soul as the INNER BEING or INNER LIFE of all things physical.

We can't see this inner life or inner being except with our inner eye. We can't see it, but we can feel it and sense it. And we can communicate with it. It can communicate with us.

To talk about the soul, to explore the concept, to invite awareness and intimacy with the soul in our day-to-day lives, is what allows us to re-ignite our childlike wonder and awe. It helps us to return to our innocence, a place inside of us where imagination and possibility is sacred.

It also helps us to heal from all of the bruises and inhumane facets of our current world. It returns us to being WHOLE BEINGS, not just physical beings, but beings with heart, soul, emotion, intellect, instinct, intuition, psychic awareness, mystery, and imagination.

Think of the soul as that part of you that is fascinated by the mystery of YOU. The mystery of others. The mystery of this awesome cosmos and existence itself.

Exploring the reality of the soul helps bring magic back into our lives which is often simply a shift in perception; we see something familiar with new eyes.

We see that all this material and mundane stuff is actually overflowing with mystery, magic, and an intelligence that can only, honestly, be seen as a miracle.

So, I invite you to explore the idea that you are more than just your physical body.

You are mystery.

What you are cannot be grasped fully by the logical mind, nor can it be comprehended fully.

What you are is magic and stardust.

You are the cosmos expressing as YOU.

You are a being with a vast inner life and soul.

You are a miracle.

How might contemplating your mystery and magic, your soul, bring more balance and healing into your life?

Bam! Happy Monday, everyone! The Color of these flowers resonate with the frequency our 3rd eye and crown chakras-with our higher visions of what dreams can be manifested in our lives and our conscious awareness of God/Universal Intelligence.

Spirituality is about our embrace of these centers, these intuitive and psychic gifts that operate beyond everyday logic and understanding.

Honoring these centers help us to get high on life! This is where we get our mojo, our inspiration and enthusiasm to create.

But spirituality is also about taking action, doing what needs to be done to bring that high energy and inspiration down to Earth as we experience the joy of making our dreams a physical reality.

This is the joy of co-creating with God.

We get to to experience being infinite and eternal spiritual beings playing, creating and manifesting here on Earth.

Spend some time getting a natural high today (and this week). Be with your higher centers. Dream with God.

There is no greater affirmation of our spiritual identities than trusting the co-creative process and taking action on our inspiration and dreams.

Astrological Checki-in

Hello, luvlies! We're about a week into the Summer of balancing our quiet, at home, self-care and self-attunement time (Cancer) with our need to be out and about shining our light, creating and playing with others (Leo).

Mercury (perceptions and communication) has joined the Sun in Cancer, so we can expect another surge of FEELINGS. Our perceptions will be more focused on thr heart and soul. It's less about words, now, and more about feelings and non-verbal communication. A hug can communicate a thousand words! And maybe we all could use a hug right about now.🫂

Journaling, drawing, dancing, anything creative will help to keep those feelings moving so that we don't get bogged down and drown in them.

Chiron, The Wounded Healer, is in a lovely trine aspect to Venus (intimacy) and Mars (courage) in Leo (boldly expressing your true self). This means that there is a wonderful opportunity to become aware of where we are still wounded when it comes to relationships, trust, intimacy, vulnerability, and our creative self-expression in general. Old wounds are surfacing now to be held and healed so that we can deepen and enjoy our relationships more. This energy is inviting us to be authentic and to trust the healing that can come from allowing ourselves to be seen, especially our joyful, childlike parts!

Some things to remember that might be helpful during these 1st-days-of-Summer, creative and intimate dance:

-permission to be alone and FEEL/tune-in to what your heart and soul need to heal

- creativity and art as a healing practices

-relationships as spiritual healing practices (including the relationship with your Self!)

-when alone, have fun-PLAY, when with others, have fun-PLAY!
