You don’t need to perform your way into powerful leadership.

Sometimes leadership means slowing down, regulating before strategizing, and letting go of the pressure to constantly prove yourself. You can lead with ambition without losing yourself in the process.

Sometimes losing a client isn’t proof that your work failed it’s proof that it worked.

I'm a long term coach and I work with clients for literal years, why? Because there's no end to personal development, I mean as a coach, I have a coach.

The right support can help someone grow, gain clarity, and reach a point where they’re ready for what’s next and that's the impact I want to make, so people can get ready to their next level.

One of my first coaching clients many many years ago worked with me until her business reached 750k in revenue annually, then one day she told me "I found a coach that can help me take my business to 10M annually." And I celebrated with her, we had a beautiful closing session and now I can call her a friend, we see each other at events and I continue to be supportive of her.

Now I get to work with first-gen leaders who have actually grown their business to 8 figures, and guess what? They still have personal development to work on, so we get to work.

Your business relationships can reveal a lot about the way you lead, serve, and grow.

What is actually important when finding support is to ask yourself these three questions:
✨ What do I need support with?
✨ What would getting that support look like as a result?
✨ What kind of support am I ready, willing, and able to receive?

Your leadership style might also inform the type of support you need.

Visibility was never the real problem.

Many first-gen leaders were taught lovingly and protectively not to take up space. Whoever tells you to perform louder is wrong.

Your body will brace for protection when you force it, and you'll feel so much resistance.

The work is about helping your nervous system feel safe enough to be seen.

Instead of going from zero to hero, think tiny steps:
✨ Record a video and keep it on your phone
✨ Ask a colleague to back you up when you speak up in a meeting
✨ Focus on your breath when you make a point, give yourself space to pause
✨ Do a quick tapping sequence before showing up: Even though I'm feeling nervous about this, my body is safe right now.

Regulation before strategy. Always.

Gold star behavior is about knowing when to pause, set boundaries, and trust yourself.

Sometimes the strongest leadership move is giving yourself space instead of constantly pushing through or over explaining.

Some things deserve a talk to the hand.
First gen life comes with a lot of unsolicited advice, expectations, and assumptions. Which one have you heard way too many times?

If you struggle with “fake it till you make it” this one is for you

Stop trying to fake it, your disregulated system can’t fake it, instead think of it as three months later, like looking back at the day you got your drivers license. You went, took the test, and you passed. How did that feel in your body?

Much better than imagining you taking the test and passing it, that still come with anticipation and nervios.

Instead look back at you driving with ease because that day you took the test and passed it. Much easier no?

If you’re done with the advise to perform, let’s hang out and actually get certain first, so your body leads instead of your fear

You’ve been leading without a recipe book this whole time. And you’ve been getting it done.

That’s range built under pressure, with no blueprint, in a culture that trained you to stay quiet and call it respect.

Tuesday July 21 at 9 am PT, I’m hosting an AMA. Come ask me anything about the work of leading from your body instead of your armor, what it looks like to lead already regulated, and how the women I work with are building the manual they never got.

It’s live, it’s real, and it’s for you.

Comment AMA (or send me a DM) and I’ll send you the link to register.

Thank you for the feature!

It was so fun to share an update of where we are and where we are going

Sometimes it’s tricky to see progress because we’ve been trained to build and work and build, pausing from time to time to look back at how far we’ve come makes the journey worth it
