Dive under the sea with us! Box Office at Burton returns September 19 with The Little Mermaid Sing-Along, presented in collaboration with The San Carlos Children's Theater. Bring your blankets, chairs, gadgets, and gizmos for this family-friendly movie night under the stars at Burton Park. The movie will begin at 7:10 p.m., so come be part of our world and enjoy a magical evening of music and community!

Join San Carlos Parks & Recreation and parks throughout the country in a fun challenge to see how many pollinator species can be documented this September! Participate by making observations on your own using the iNaturalist app. Using the iNaturalist app, you simply take a picture of a pollinator (bee, butterfly, bat, etc.) or plant, and the online community will help identify the species. You can participate by exploring the nature and wildlife in the City of Good Living! Any observation you make will count during our event.

Thank you to everyone who came out and volunteered at Day of Service! We had an amazing turnout, and together we completed tree planting 🌳 and trash pickup at Highlands Park, pulled hundreds of invasive star thistle plants, and planted a beautiful pollinator garden 🌱 at Vista Park.

The City of San Carlos is proud to be a member of Tree City USA, and we’re excited to celebrate the program’s 50th anniversary this year! In honor of Arbor Day, the San Carlos City Council proclaimed September 12 as “San Carlos Plant a Tree Day.”

Thank you for spending your morning planting trees, creating a new pollinator garden, and (surprise!) pulling everyone’s favorite invasive thistle. In partnership with the Yoga Health Center, Life on Laurel returns September 18 with Downtown Yoga🧘‍♀️! Join us on the 700 Block of Laurel Street for an evening of movement, connection, and fun! Yoga Health Center will be offering five class previews, including Pilates with Angela, Wavebreak Flow with Will, Sculpt with Madi, Val's Vibe with Val, and Breathwork with Sheryl. Everyone is welcome; bring your friends, family, and your mat (There will be a limited number of loaners available on site)! This is a free community event, and no registration is necessary.
