There is a voice beneath the noise,
a knowing beneath the thinking,
a self untouched by everything the world asked her to become.

I come to the practice to meet her.
To awaken her.
Again. and again. and again.

What brings you back to your practice?

I’m still taking this in. My heart feels incredibly full.
LovePhotoLove first came to my class as a student.
To have him return with his camera, and later share these photos and words, feels like such an unexpected gift.

Thank you LovePhotoLove for your attention, and the gentleness with which you saw the practice. I’m deeply grateful and truly humbled.

Birthdays always make me a little reflective. Not so much about getting older, but about what I’m doing with the time I’m given.
What am I waking up within myself? And what am I putting back into the world?

This week, my dance professor talked about epigenetics, how movement can influence how our genes are expressed.
And I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Because movement has changed so much more than my body.

Somewhere between dance and yoga, something in me switched ON.
Enough to leave the engineering life I had built and follow a life that, somehow, makes me excited to wake up in the morning and grateful when I close my eyes at night.

Maybe some of it was always there, waiting to be expressed.

So this birthday, my wish is simple:
To stay in love with life.
Every day.
Every hour.
Every minute.
Every second.

And whatever that love wakes up in me, to keep finding ways to put it back into the world.

Here’s to another chapter.

Every class, we create our own soundtrack.

No two classes ever sound the same, because no two groups arrive with the same breath, energy, stories, or way of moving through the world.

We begin by listening.
To our breath.
To our pulse.
To the rhythm that is already happening inside each of us.
Then we start to move.
And when the beat joins us, all of those different rhythms begin to meet.

We create our soundtrack together.
Every class, a different soundtrack. Every time, our own.

What will our soundtrack sound like next?

The shape is not the whole story.
Sometimes, in class, I come a little closer.
To bring a little light to the place that needs the attention.

For me, fine-tuning a movement is NOT about making it look more perfect from the outside.
It is about fine tuning the FEELING.
I love that quiet shift in energy when someone remembers that the practice is theirs.
The face softens.
A foot finds the ground.
A hand reaches with a little more ease.
Something inside says, yes, this feels right.

And then we rest.
We close our eyes, place an eye pillow on, and let it all settle.
A little quiet, and a chance to feel what shifted. not in the shape, but in the experience.
That is the part I love most: when practice becomes personal.
Because movement is only part of the practice. The real magic is what stays with you after.

The shape is not the whole story.
What matters is what it helps you feel.
Maybe that is the shape of the heart.
