Exit velo is a strength number wearing a softball uniform.

The bat doesn't create the power. The athlete swinging it does. Ball flight is just the receipt.

If her exit velo has been stuck for a year, the answer probably isn't in the cage.

College coaches don't recruit potential. They recruit numbers.

Pop time. Exit velo. Sixty times. Verified, current, and better than they were last season.

Inland Peak Softball Academy measures those from day one, so your daughter knows where she stands and what closes the gap β€” instead of guessing until her junior year.

One hour a week, with no plan attached.

That's what most development actually looks like. A lesson on Tuesday, a tournament on Saturday, and nothing connecting them. The coach doesn't know what the strength side is doing. Nobody's measuring whether any of it moved.

An hour is not the problem. An hour without a plan is.

Start by finding out where your athlete actually stands.

Finding a curriculum is the easy part.

What's harder to find is where the rest of the day goes. Inland Peak runs charter-funded training at the facility β€” 20,000 sq ft, ten cages, indoor turf, full strength and conditioning gym, coached speed and agility.

You keep school your way. We build the athlete.

Parents worry about the elbow.

Fair. But the elbow is usually the place where a problem shows up, not the place where it started. A body that can't rotate through the hips, can't decelerate, and can't hold a position under fatigue sends that load somewhere. It ends up at the smallest joint in the chain.

That's why we screen the whole athlete before anyone talks about his arm.

Movement, mechanics, speed. One hour.

A lesson finds the problem. The building is where you fix it.

An hour with Coach Angel Landazuri β€” former Division 1 player and professional pitcher β€” will tell you exactly what's holding your athlete back. Command, mechanics, approach in the box.

Then it gets interesting. Because the answer is usually not another lesson. It's ten pounds, or hips that move, or a first step that isn't there yet. And all of that is already down the hall β€” cages, turf, the full gym, recovery.

Most families pay four places to find that out. Here it's one.

Softball players don't need softball-specific workouts. They need to get strong.

Rotational this, sport-specific that. Most of it is a weak athlete doing complicated things and calling it training.

Get strong first. The sport-specific part gets a lot easier after that.

Softball parents know the drill. Hitting instructor one place. Strength coach another. Recovery somewhere else if you can find it. Practice across town.

Our athletes do all of it in one building, on one schedule.

Less windshield time. More development time. And a coaching staff that actually talks to each other about your daughter.
