2 shows, 1 month apart, 2 pro cards. This prep season felt professional, measured, composed. Eira pushed to a place she’s not been, taking in stride the gauntlet that’d been thrown down at her. We went into this show expecting a very respectable level of competition and that was exactly what the NFF Super Show gave us.
One thing bodybuilding will force you to become: patient. Rare, perhaps exceedingly so, is the person who can come in and win against competitors who have years more experience than you if you’re a novice. Eira has put in almost 4 painstaking years. Lots of lessons, overcoming setbacks, solving problems.
Today was a really good day.

A great moment today, watching Eira get the pro card for which she has worked so hard. It makes me think about attitude. Eira doesn’t shy away from a challenge, nor does she pretend like everything we bodybuilders go through is fun. She embraces the process, acknowledges the no-fun parts and moves through it all with a quiet grace. She has learned, like so many of us, that nothing you’ll have to do on any 1 day is beyond your capacity. It’s just really hard to have 100-200 really consistent days in a row.
It’s tough to decline food you want to eat, particularly when at an event with friends and family. It isn’t always fun to turn down going out for drinks. But real participation is about presence, not consumption.
Eira put in the work and came in more muscular and leaner than ever before. And that’s why she is part of the newest batch of ON-X professional bodybuilders.

We either make the lift or get a funny story to tell the nurses. We have new merchandise for sale, so either stop by Lyceum Gym or come see us at the Riverwalk Classic on June 27th .
