The boys and I had a great time connecting with Chad Culp for dinner. Chad was a member of Green Tree many years ago. He built cts. 1 and 2. They are absolutely beautiful courts. Chad oversaw the building of the deck that is there between cts. 1 and 2 and poured the slab for the 1500 sq. ft. pavilion that we use for large company parties. He also stained the concrete and it is beautiful. He was very generous with his time and energy. I will be forever grateful to Chad for all that he did to help make Green Tree the beautiful facility that it is. 😎😎

I love this color …. blue and green for the courts… Gordon uses top-of-the-line product… In particular California products is the name. Second coat of Blue is down and I believe this is the first coat of Green. Close to finishing cts. 1 and 2 up. Cts. 5 and 6 are next. 😎😎

We are resurfacing five of our seven cts. Always fun to do … expensive …. but fun. 😎 😎 There is definitely an art to doing this. Gordon Burney has been resurfacing our courts for 35 years and he is terrific. Very detailed and a perfectionist, which is what you want when someone is redoing your courts.

The black acrylic resurfacer is down and the first coat of the blue… Will send you more pics as we go!!

Had a great time with my two sons… Jordan and Matthew celebrating Brad Millwater. We went to the Hotel Emma bar and had a drink and then onto the Boiler House for a very nice dinner. Brad‘s family are long time members at Green Tree. He has worked the last six years at the club and can do it all …. Pro-shop, Head Sports Camp Counselor, working parties, helping with the turkey tournament… He has done a fantastic job. 😎😎👍👍

Brad has been named the sports editor for the UTSA school paper The Paisano and will be very busy handling all of that so he won’t be working at GT anymore. He will continue of course to play tennis at the club and we love that we will get to see him then. Well done, Brad! 😎😎

FALL JUNIOR Programs start the weekend of Sept. 12,13. Two QuickStart programs plus two Junior Development programs plus Junior Excellence. Head Pro, Dave Briddle, will be teaching all the programs😎😎. All info and on line registration is at www.greentreetennis.com.

The ladies clinic was this morning from 9 AM to 10:30 AM. Dave Briddle was working the ladies out. I pulled in and looked out and saw the ladies and they looked like a rainbow with their outfits! I commented on all these beautiful pale colors and so I took a picture!

The 3.5 men are in Corpus Christi for little state. They finished in second place in the city playoffs losing by one third at 10 point!

They played this morning and won their match. They lost a squeaker this afternoon. The standings are very close after this first day of Play.

Go get ‘em guys! Green Tree, and all its members and staff are very proud of you… Way to go! 😎😎

Looking to hire, smart, friendly, hard-working individual who brings high energy while interacting with club members, customers, and other staff. Will handle phone calls, data entry, payments plus court and office maintenance. Tennis Players are encouraged to apply as are non-tennis players. High school seniors and/or college age young adults.

HOURS: Monday thru Thursday 5-9 pm
PART-TIME: $13-$16/hour
