Hello MRRA Family,
There has been a lot happening today with the NFA, and we wanted to reach out directly so you hear where MRRA stands straight from us.
We are continuing all NFA transfers under existing Form 4 procedures until we receive written ATF guidance and clearance from our counsel.
To be clear about why: this is not doubt about the ruling. The injunction runs against ATF. It does not give our license affirmative protection. Transferring outside Form 4 procedure would require us to determine, at the counter and in real time, whether a given customer qualifies as a covered member or customer. That is a legal judgment with our FFL and SOT on the line. Separately, there is currently no ATF mechanism to remove a transferred item from our NFRTR, which means an inspection could show items on our registry that are no longer on our shelf. Nobody has an answer for that yet.
We will keep everyone updated as we learn more.
