Starting the weekend strong. Got to Huntsville and our pin in the trailer lock fell out so we had to cut the lock off to get the cars out. Then mom went to change out of her flip flops to learn she packed two different shoes both right feet 🥴. Huntsville, you really know how to welcome us! On a brighter note practice went well and our line looks much better than the last time we were here. Pic of moms Walmart mawmaw shoes to give ya an idea of how we’re rolling today! I think Walmart should sponsor me after she walks around like this.

Millbridge it was fun. We came and we accomplished a top 5 out of 23 cars. $50 richer 🤪. Now on to Huntsville Alabama to run the Dixie Shootout Series.

We’re a bit behind on updates but here it goes. Last week and this week we have ran the Summer Series races. We don’t run the whole season of these races so we’re not competing in the points championship but we have done a few simply for passing practice. Last week in SS #6 we ended up P2 in Jr 160 and P2 in Junior Honda so successful practices.

On to last night SS #7. We pulled out a P3 in Junior 160 and won Junior Honda. Really good passing. One mistake in 160 landing a line violation so gains to be made. Overall it was great practice for Saturdays race!

Now for celebratory win breakfast.

Day 2 of kids night update. Our one goal was to transfer to the A main and we achieved putting us starting p16 in the A. We were able to make our way to 11th with clean passes, super consistent lines (finally). If you know Lawson you know 1/2 he is fantastic in but 3/4 is super tricky for him at Millbridge. It was an awesome night to watch him. As always we were so proud. Thanks to all of our sponsors and everyone that helped get us on track. Oh yeah, and the most important part according to Lawson is he got $75 in payout 😂

Millbridge Kids Night 1

Saying we’re tired would be an understatement when we have been racing for 4 days straight but just one more night to make it through. We qualified 14th so not our best work but the car needed some modifications. Then we went on to win our heat race which was fantastic effort. That’s where the day went downhill. During the qualifier we got pushed up into the wall and shuffled out falling way back. We drove back to 11th but that was as far as we could get putting us starting 4th in the B main and hoping for a transfer. We also signed some autographs and ate lots of snow cones because let’s be honest when racing doesn’t go the way ya want snacks make the day better. 🏁

CS #8/9 was a double header. It was a long and incredibly hot day. We started qualifying a little slow and had to fight back after adjustments to the car. We ended up with a podium in 3 out of our 4 races landing a super solid day! The best part was dad got to be present for 2 of our races to watch his boy before he had to run off to North Wilkesboro to crew chief his big boy job. Big thank you to Mr. Kerry who always keeps us on track for race days and for all our family for being there as cheerleaders. Most importantly our sponsors who make it all possible. We ended last night with Millbridge practice and now we run 2 days of dirt races tonight and tomorrow. I know we’re nuts and we’re tired but our boy never gives up! Also huge thanks to Yashoda McNally for some amazing photos from this weekend!

Surprise, we ran the summer series race last night just for some practice and to be sure our refreshed motor runs ok. Thanks to Flash Products that bad boy was fast and laid down the best lap time of the race. We washed out P2 even after going to the rear. Good job Knox Davidson Racing you killed it out there!

Recap for SS Race #3. We signed up just for some passing practice. We have a lot of new drivers that moved up and some that are running slower speeds so we knew we needed to get more comfortable with that. Dad signed us up since there was no pressure, not running for points, just simple practice with a full field of cars. Boy was it a cluster and the most annoying race we have ever ran. 45 cautions later the race timed out since the time limit is only 20 minutes. We only ran 3 consistent laps without a caution and only 10 laps for the entire race. Passing practice never happened. We went 5th to 3rd as if that matters. Next time I think after caution 10 I’ll park and take a nap in the scale house 🤪
