Welcome to Salina, Coach Demarcus James! 🔥🏈

Coach James brings more than 14 years of coaching experience and an outstanding professional playing résumé to the Liberty. A respected defensive backs coach and player developer, he most recently served as Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach for the Cedar Rapids Titans.

During his professional playing career, James earned three IFL Hall of Fame nominations, two Defensive Player of the Year honors and Special Teams Player of the Year recognition. With the Alaska Wild, he set two IFL records—18 interceptions in a single season and five interceptions in a single game. He also helped the San Angelo Bandits capture the 2014 LSFL Championship.
