After spending over a decade of sustained success leading the freshmen team, Pepp has been promoted to the program’s Pitching Coordinator and Varsity Pitching Coach! In his new role, he’ll coordinate arm care health for all players; direct pitcher programming, mechanics, mental game, and development across all three levels; design and implement feedback loops backed by Rapsodo reports; and serve as the pitching coach at the Varsity level.

Please welcome Pepp, Lexi, and Baby Mae to the Varsity experience!

We also want to thank Coach Cyrus for serving as the Varsity Pitching Coach since the summer of 2020! He stepped in and helped the program in a huge post-pandemic turnaround that saw 11 Saxon pitchers commit to college baseball!

It was a Saxon Baseball reunion game at Chemeketa on Wednesday! The entire varsity coaching staff (plus the retired Coach Kallhoff!) took in a Marion Berries game on Wednesday to watch Noah Scharer (2025), Gavin Price (2025), and Sawyer Nelson (2026), who combined to steal 146 bases, hit 61 career homeruns, and drive in 339 runs while helping South Salem win 102 games over the last five years!
