SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE: PULL-UPS
In honor of this being our 6th Monthly Challenge, September’s challenge is brought to you by a little Cirque du Soleil inspiration! ☀️
FUN FACT 💡
Did you know that every six months, Cirque du Soleil artists undergo physical testing — and one of their strength tests requires them to complete 11 pull-ups in a row?! 💪
So, in honor of that strength test, September is ALL ABOUT PULL-UPS!
The goal is simple: accumulate as many pull-ups as you can throughout the month.
Chin-ups. Pull-ups. Wide grip. Narrow grip. Mix it up — they all count!
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY 👏
For a full rep to count:
⬆️ Chin above the bar at the top
⬇️ Arms fully extended at the bottom
Can’t do a full pull-up yet? NO PROBLEM!
Scale it! Use a resistance band or whatever level of assistance you need to complete the full range of motion. Assisted reps absolutely count. This challenge is about getting stronger wherever you are starting from.
THE RULES 🎪
💪 Pull-ups must be completed in the studio, before or after class, to count.
💪 All challenge reps must be performed on our trapeze bar — we’ll have it up and ready for you!
💪 Keep track of your reps throughout the month and watch that number GROW!
Maybe take some video!
As always, we LOVE a little friendly competition, but this challenge is about strength, consistency, and progress.
Train smart. Practice safely. Listen to your body. And don’t overdo it!
September… LET’S PULL UP! 💪🔥🎪

August Splits Challenge
Here’s how it works:
1 minute Left Split
1 minute Right Split
1 minute Center Split
3 minutes total = 1 point
Scale the challenge to your current level.
If flat splits on the floor are easy, work on oversplits.
If oversplits on one block are comfortable, increase the challenge to two blocks, and so on. The goal is to work at your edge.
One quick note: Don’t hold each split for 3 minutes. That still only counts as 1 point!
Instead, it’s much better to complete 1 minute on each split (3 minutes total) and repeat for additional points.
Of course, if you know your body well and want to challenge yourself with 90 seconds or even 2 minutes per split, go for it! Just know it still only counts as 1 point. 🤭😉
Track your points all month long and let’s see who can stay the most consistent. Quality over quantity—listen to your body and enjoy the process!
