Some people call it the City Tournament… around here we call it the Fossil Park Championship Parade.
Because when you walk through Fossil, you don’t just see trophies. You see sacrifice. Early mornings. Dirt-stained pants. Parents packing coolers. Coaches pouring into kids. Young athletes learning how to fight, how to lead, how to lose with character and win with humility.
And this year? Fossil showed OUT.

Celebrating a teammate’s first hit today and it was a reminder of why youth sports matter so much. ⚾
This is what kids need more of — fresh air, dirt on their cleats, teammates beside them, and real friendships being built one practice and one game at a time. Less cell phones. Less video games. More touching grass, working hard, encouraging each other, and making memories.
A first hit is more than just a play in the game. It’s confidence. It’s joy. It’s teammates celebrating together. It’s a young athlete realizing, “I can do this.”
Youth sports help shape kids in the best ways, and moments like this are exactly why we do it.
